Thousands of Filipino fans filled the seats of Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City as 17 of today’s biggest content creators gathered once again for YouTube FanFest (YTFF).

The live show, which brings together well-known and fast-rising YouTube stars from the Philippines and around the world, took the energetic crowds by storm with electrifying performances and surprise collaborations from their favorite artists. Now on its fifth year, YouTube FanFest brought the country’s most promising online talents to the YTFF stage, with 15 homegrown creators headlining the live show.

The whole arena erupted in cheers and excitement as international favorite Alex Wassabi and YTFF veteran Matt Steffanina joined local stars Ranz Kyle and Niana Guerrero, Hannah Kathleen, JaMill, ThatsBella, Rei Germar, Ken San Jose, Brains techKnowlogy, Andrea Brillantes, Pamela Swing, AC BONIFACIO, and Hype Streetball. These well-loved digital stars wowed the audience with unforgettable and creative performances. Hosts LLOYD CAFE CADENA, Baninay Bautista, and Raiza Contawi also kept the crowd energized throughout the show.

Over the last few years, talented individuals and groups have taken to YouTube to reach a wider audience. Today, there are over 750 channels that have reached 100K subscribers, and more than 60 channels with 1M+ subscribers—a huge feat from just 300 channels with 100K subscribers and 19 channels with 1M+ subscribers last year.

The Filipino YouTube community is one of the most active communities on YouTube. We’ve seen an immense growth in numbers for many local and foreign creators and that is why it is always a pleasure to host YouTube FanFest here. More than just entertainment and connecting with fans, YTFF is also a celebration of talents that inspire the new generation,” said Marc Lefkowitz, Head of YouTube Creator and Artist Development for APAC.

YouTube FanFest Manila is co-presented by Globe Telecom and GCash, in association with McDonalds, Huawei Technologies Philippines, and Modess.

“Globe is thrilled to partner with YouTube for the fourth year for YouTube FanFest. YTFF allows us to cater to and further enable the passions of our Gen Z Prepaid market,” said Raymond Policarpio, Globe Vice President & Head for Prepaid Business. “Through our exclusive promos and activities, and special performances from Globe ambassadors, we hope to magnify our customers’ love to create and celebrate the fan in each one.”

According to GCash VP for Growth and Marketing Christopher Manguera, “GCash always strives to connect customers with the things that they love, and the YouTube community represents a passionate group of people gathering to enjoy their favorite creators together. We’re looking forward to helping our users connect with their idols and each other with the activities we’re bringing to the festival.”
